Wow. The Republicans unanimously voted against the stimulus package. And I thought kicking low income women to the curb was going to convince them to vote for the stimulus package. Oh wait, that wasn’t me, that was President Obama.
Let’s hope women’s reproductive rights are not the perpetual sacrificial lamb of this administration.

Perhaps it’s naive, but I remain optimistic that positive things (like the global gag rule overturn) will continue to happen, even if we don’t get a lot of public celebratory victories (like overturning on the anniversary instead of Friday). I’d prefer both, but I’ll take just the one.
You’re right, I will definitely take it. I just think changing the dialogue has to come from liberals, and will do more to improve women’s reproductive rights than temporary legislation will.
